Hi there, welcome
I identify as ruin, which is not a bad thing (see the architect Arata Isozaki's philosophy on ruin, or the videogame NieR Automata) | Sociologist, postdoctoral researcher with a PhD-degree from Max Planck Institute, writer, artist-minded ruin-o-logist, and apocalypse-investigator | The old me has died during the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, and was re-uploaded in a new me. This new me has traveled to the near future, to April 2020, to warn the world about the existential global threat it faces. This is the narrative, that will shape my forthcoming nuclear novel. And now I am also playing with the idea to write a novel with the original title 'The Vaccine' (don't you steal it!).
May 2020, with the world still in the start of a big crisis, decided that this apocalypse-minded post-academic, needed to return to academia as soon as possible. So I became an academic again, then.
Now I work as a postdoctoral researcher at the wonderful University of Amsterdam (Institute for Logic, Language and Computation & Faclt. of Humanities). I am also a visiting scholar at the Centre for Science and Technology Studies at the Leiden University. See my staff page.
Moreover, I write books, organize trainings, give seminars (now also online!!), review your text with my critical eye, and... also do professional theatre. Since my start in the fall of 2019, I have touched many hearts with my stories and made it frequently into the newspapers.
The English language corner of my website is in an early stage of progress, though it will never be complete. But feel free to look around.
